What looks like sheer devastation to the unknowing eye is sad ‘normality’ to the people of Gaza. So this isn’t just a war-damaged house, it’s this boy’s home, at least. I took many such pictures during my work stays in those parts of the world to which my so-called western civilization simply seems to close its eyes.
